Yes We Can, No We Can't, ....hmmm, Maybe?
This Country is in trouble and nobody seems equipped to do anything about it. We are so upside down it is scary. We elected a newbie Pol. to lead US in toubling times, we have the very skimmers and scammers that set up our financial mess in charge of 'fixing' it and inconsequential things like sports and celebrities seem to be at the top of most peoples interest. I know it is nice to take a break from real world stuff like North Korea developing rocket science, Pakistan in constant chaos the daily gyrations of the world economy etc. Maybe we ought to have an Earth week where everybody takes a vacation and turns off their electricity for a week and all the world problems will magically be solved.
Our world is in the balance and the return to normalcy may not be as easy as some would think. I am not sure many in the world care if we elected our messiah or that they just sense we are now weaker. As long as our militay is the worlds enforcer we cannot appropriate that money like the Europeans into more social utopian progress. Wouldn't it be great if we could? Alas that is one part of the budget Barack feels very comfortable cutting.
April Fools:
Barack Obama is going over to the G20 summit to lecture them about economics. Wow, I know this guy is 'brilliant', but really... Do you think Barack will tell them how to bury themselves under a mountain of debt they will never get out from under? Or lecture them on their demographics and how they can import workers from third world countries to take care of their dwindling aged populations. I guess we do have to tear this down before we can rebuild it (the world economy to pave the way for the new world order).
Why are the protesters out there fussing and moaning when their guy is going to order the whole world his (their) way? Now Barack has given the Queen an I pod? Oh boy!?! I wonder just how long we can suffer this renewed and improved world image we have bought. It's scary stuff when we are going to work deals with former KGB to disarm ourselves and how can we trust them to reciprocate? Ugh, we are barely into the Obama regime and the backpedaling and ground we will give up is astonishing. I fear for my childrens future, this course we are on is unsustainable and they are the ones who will have to pay. I know Obamas kids will be set up and not even have to think about how they will function in the brave new world their father is creating for US all.
I, me-me, Mine
Obama, at least in his narcissistic early stages here, is going to position himself as the catalyst and moving force behind all his grandiose schemes so when, not if, it fails we can vote him out in 3 3/4 years hence. I imagine he will begin to install some fall guys and scapegoats when it becomes obvious he is overreaching. Look for that before the year is out.

This Economy
I am really getting tired of advertisers and TVnews usage of their newest little catchphrase "This Economy". The way they use it for selling everything from the useless to the necessary, and try to grab our attention by spinning off of it renders the reality of whats happening in our economy trite or all encompassing. Which it really is neither, exactly. To some the pain and anxiety is so real they are losing all hope and touch with reality, and to others they have their jobs and they still have money yet they are acting like the sky will fall any second.
The only thing we have to fear is fear itself right now is ever so true. There is money out there, one mistake made by the Government that led to the great depression that has not been made here. Team Obama has the presses running day and night now. But failing to target exactly where the problem started and ramming through a socialist agenda at the same time will exacerbate this situation. If Obama could just focus on real stimulus and quickly get money out to real jobs there could be an impact. The government wheels are so slow though that by the time the money gets to the people the recession will be coming to a conclusion.
Had all the sub prime loans been immediately rewritten, even if they had to be turned into 40 year loans, the banks would not have to deal with so many foreclosures. And the homeowners who were not in those loans would have benefitted from stabilizing values in their own homes. And maybe a lot of 401k retirements wouldn't have gotten taken down the drain with everything else. I know its now time to only say 'woulda, coulda, shoulda ...din't', but still there are lessons to be learned here and some wealth can still be preserved and rebuilt. But people are scared of what Obama will do because no one, including Obama himself, has a clue. Lots of money is sitting on the sidelines trying to figure out how the rules will change, and anybody who still has any money is smart enough and patient enough to see that an agenda is being put in place and waiting makes the most seense right now because under the new Obama administration there is no bottom to this market, yet.

World NewsWatch March 16 2009AD
Conservatives in Hollywood lost one of their few small voices in the wilderness, when Ron Silver passed away. May he rest in peace.
The future will bring us new innovation which will help the economy grow. But when machines start doing the jobs people will do, could there be more job loss? It is strange how things work, I think this is a moment for our Country to re-position itself toward the future and I applaud President Obama on that, but, if he cedes the vision and implementation to Nacy Pelosi and Harry Reid we will surely end up weaker, poorer, and more dependent on our new behemoth Government, as individuals and as a whole. Our nation is a collection of individuals who make US whole. I do not want to be part of a collective that includes drug addicts, perverts, pacifists, criminals, those who will not assimilate, and those who won't try to better themselves at the expense of others. Barack Obama is overreaching and I am watching him to see if he really cares about all of America or just the Democrat constituency portion of it.
It is as I feared, Obama is a politician who can only run for office, once there he hands off responsibility and runs for something else. I guess soon enough he will be running for President of the World : (
Electing a narcissistic megalomaniac will begin the unravelling of our great nation. How can his donors afford to keep digging into their pocketbooks for him? Are they cheating on their taxes? I guess it's the same concept as how the casinos are still doing alright, this economy isn't quite as dire as we are led to believe at this time, but hold on, some growth killing tax increases are on the way.
Let California show US the way you take a great thing and utterly destroy it with liberal socialist ideas, taxes, unsustainable growth in Government programs, and no clear vision of the future and how to get from here to there.
This will make Ted Turner proud, one of his own has become somebody. Obama can send a welcome party down there to celebrate the victory, and Venezuela and Cuba have a new ally. We really need no proof as to where most journalists stand, but I would guess this guy is just left of center of most journalists out there today. Now after they kill their respective papers they can figure a job in politics.
Hmm..... this is interesting. Didn't The Campaign make a big deal about John McCain saying the same thing? And as far as I can see we are much worse off now than we were back in the peak campaign season of lies, smears, promises, and hope-change song and dance. The perfect storm was created, weathered, used, and will eventually be slain, to bring US our saviour, one Barack Hussein Obama.
Here is another of Obamas misrepresentations where he is leaning toward a McCain position, that fence sure is getting rickety to keep on straddling.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves and give some of the Fixes a chance to work, then maybe we can start scrapping the intrusions before they become permanent fixtures. Oops too late!
I guess since we are winning or have now won we must appear "nice" or concilliatory or soft or something. This kind of symbolism makes me ill. Call them what they are, tell it like it is, and just don't be ashamed to defend all that we hold dear.

The Ominous Spending Bill
Full of pig ears and pork marks, Obama does it again. This guy is slick. He campaigns one way and then oh so calmly lies to the American people, right to our faces. Well it would be to our faces but I get the feeling he is talking right past me, is he talking to my accountant?
The Democrats are spending our childrens future even as they are pushing to deny the future unborn a chance at life. How do we figure out this mess? Will we continue to import our growth to pay for this bold new world? Or will we fold up like the cheap suitcase that we are mortgaging ourselves into?

Call This Leadership?
A lot of people took a chance on Obama last fall thinking things probably could not get much worse in our economy. Voters in the polls had overwhelmingly said they trusted the Democrats more to fix the economy and get US back on track. Well, we are getting the change promised, only its from bad to worse. We are getting a long term agenda crammed down our throats and the Democrat/Leftists are enacting bold moves to gather power out of the private sector and into "their"Government. They went nuts ceding power to Bush and the Republicans, but are now quite content to grow the behemoth into the intrusive, overarching monolith, their magnum opus. They have their figure head, an empty suit as it turns out to be, they have their field generals stationed in almost all positions of power. They have the useful idiots who will support them whatever they do, all they lack is the general populations willingness to tear down the whole system and start over again. Obama calls the stock market a tracking poll in which he cannot concern himself with the daily gyrations, the bobbing up and down, the long term big fix is what he is after. Unfortunately for millions of Americans, their retirement is tied up in Obamas daily tracking polls, which by the way are trending downward at a steady, unrelenting pace. Now if part of his plan is to detach Americans from their wealth so they need him to fix everything then Obama is doing a most wonderful job.
People everywhere are beginning to ask when the Obama administration will begin to take ownership of this economy. I know the real answer is if, and only if, things begin to improve. He does not have that luxury now, though, to keep playing this blame game. He rode in on his white horse to save US. He swore he knew what he was doing, he swore he would uphold and protect the Constitution. But let US never forget, the First Horseman of the Apocolypse also rides in on a white horse.

If You Vote For Liberal Politicians:
It must be ok that your politician makes promises he cannot/will not keep
You can blame conservatives for running up deficits as you run up more
Democracy need not defend itself
You are happy the swing to the left will be pushed as quickly as possible to avoid the correction that will come in 2010, but that correction will make you sad.
Any sign of defeat for your country is viewed as a good thing
You fear truthtellers so you have to use legislative power to silence your critics. Obama will then use cogressional cohorts to stay above the foray and still advance his agenda.
You lose in the marketplace in the battle of ideas, the evidence is there for all to see.
It has been said you get the Government you deserve and I think we are seeing that in America right now. Our country is going through some growing pains and it will be interesting to see what comes out the other side. A country leaner and meaner(an expression, not mean spirited), or a big fat lazy behemoth of social programs that chokes the life and creativity out of the people one law, one legislative process at a time. We cannot tax and spend our way to prosperity, so why in the world are the Democrats taking US down this road we know is to nowhere?

When Will It End?
In Egypt terroists have killed a French school girl and injured other tourists and classmates. Somehow this crime struck me deeper than a lot of what we hear about on a daily basis in our wide and wild world. There is a futility in the actions of these killers and an ineptness. Yet also, for one individual, this attack did what it set out to accomplish. It ended a life. And that life could have done more for the terrorist causes than they would ever know. What if that individual was the one that could bring the sides together? A future diplomat or counselor who could stop the grievence that the cowardly bombers feel is driving them toward committing these atrocious acts against their Karma and erasing any sympathy decent people may have for their plight. No, they kill at random and they kill anyone they can. And they really don't have any blessing from Allah or I am sure more would have died there in Khan el Kalilli marketplace. The God of Good people has protected a lot of innocent people there and kept the bloodshed to a minimum.
If the destabilization of Egypt is the goal, you wonder if the madmen thought this through all the way. Tourism is slowing and that is the main income for that country. If their economy goes worse because of these types of actions I am almost certain the terroists own lives will be affected. Or is no money and starvation what they are after here?
To answer my original question of when it will all end I believe it will when the good people on this world outnumber the evil by about 100 to 1. Sometimes, right now the way things seem, it is almost 50-50. I know that is not the case but the good people need to band together, pray together and raise a generation of good people and combat this evil with goodness. Good deeds against evil deeds, good thoughts against evil thoughts and above all else good will toward all men.

Sunday the 15th, after Friday the 13th, before Monday the 16th
Take a look around America and remember how things were in the middle of a "crisis" when we were just about to climb out of it, but decided, while there is still injustice in this world, we keep on our sackcloth and ashes. The US Government is injecting itself with steroids aka stimulus and the Democrat Politicians are positioning themselves to feed at the trough indefinitely. Maybe there is a crisis and maybe there isn't. Numbers only lie when they are manipulated and strung together between falsehoods and fears. We have been sold the fear and the misinformation just happens to go uncontested.
If all this is really so urgent why does it all seem to be such a coordinated effort? I hate to keep belaboring the point that Obama ran on Hope and Change, but he did. Now it is as if the reassuring (Hopeful) part of his message and campaign has been abandoned. Now we are left in the wilderness with only Change and who should come to our rescue? The Democrat Party! Just like in the movies, this whole crisis/opportunity has a real orchestrated, surreal, telegraphed feel to it. Unfortunately the ending can only be a bad one for freedom. Capitalism has been portrayed as the menace that must be slain and to live happily ever after will have to be done under Government supervision.
The next generation of Americans has been raised with a sense of entitlement and instant gratification. I just wonder how they will feel when they learn that they too will be paying and paying dearly for this perpetual debt cycle we are about to wallow into. This system we are creating is just a gilded cage. There will be a time when we break free, or die.
Tuesday President Barack H. Obama will sign the legislation that will define his Presidency and put US on the course to an unsustainable future that must be reconciled one day. Every generation must fight for their freedom, or see it evaporate. I am afraid my generation must be the one that sacrifices its comfort so that our children and grandchildren can live free. Unfortunately it seems human nature will always push off the tough and terrible decisions into a future where there is hope something will change the dynamic and avert the reality.

Words of Hope..., for a Change?
The American people voted in Barack Obama because they felt like Washington insiders had run our country into a ditch. The call was for change, a new way of doing things, no more lobbyists, no more cronyism, hope for our country and change to better days.
The reality is we got shnookered by a used car salesman, Obama's new way in Washington is the old way(Clinton 3). The change is from semi-competent, semi-literate leadership to total incompetence and sugar coated empty rhetoric and campaign slogans even after the election is won and the Governing commenced. Lobbyists and crooks and tax cheats still fill the top positions and we are basically hiring the ones who messed things up to correct the problem. I get a feeling Chris Dodd, Barney Frank and Charlie Rangel will try to cover up their complicity in the mortgage meltdown way before they try to help a single homeowner stay in their home. When our country really needed reassurance the lefties threaten US with calamity and catastrophe if we dont enact the big government solutions they have perscribed and fought for, and enacted, as best they could, for the last 60 years. We are out of the ditch and about to go over the cliff.
Unfortunately, the conservative party had a chance and failed to show the American people what lower taxes and reduced Government spending could do to create a better, more just society where everyone worked hard to pull their own weight. The choices people feel we have now are spending and more spending, and a Government that will continue to grow. And half the electorate will be ok with any Government, because in a 2 party system if you dont lose you win.
I did hear Obama say that he was an eternal optimist, but unfortunately it rang hollow as a throwaway banter line more than a sincere assessment of how he intends to lead. I think our economy and national psyche needs a shot of true optimism, true postive Reaganesque belief in this Country's ability to quickly get through this trouble with American ingenuity and grit and determination. I am afraid Obama will always hedge his insecurity with the blame game, and he will continually be forced to lower expectations because he promised US the moon. He can be sincere, he must be optimistic, he must lead.

WWOD?
what would Obama Do?
Kim Jong il is throwing his spoon from his highchair, and Ahmadinajhad is sending rockets into space? Could these two thorns be testying Obamas resolve. Joe Biden said Obama would get tested early. I just hope when he stands up for his recitation he puts American and free world interests above being the saviour of the planet. I am sure the nature of the problems is aligning Obama closer to Bush than his rhetoric in the campaign would have ever allowed. Sometimes solutions to problems are bad and worse, not good for a guy who has to have everybody love him. We should all be praying that common sense wins the day, and the troubles are not allowed to become intractible.

Are We Going To Get Porked!?!
The only bi-partisan action on this bill is the opposition to it. Our Government is in the process of selling our future to Democrat Party donors and supporters. In the name of stimulus the giveaway reads like a liberal fantasy and economic hayseed wishlist. The only good thing about this is that lines have been drawn on where our politicians will take a stand. There are a few Democrats who chose sanity and reason over the desire to be seen doing anything even if it's wrong. President Obama is rushing to get the package through, and he wanted bi-partisanship, instead, he and the Democrats have to take full ownership of the monstrosity. The Senate gets to step up and prove themselves fiscally sane and we will see if there is any common sense left. If all these measures are so critically important to rush into law, then why would everybody take weekends and Martin Luther King Jr. day off? The same goes for the state of California, another petrie dish of liberal ideology destroying all it touches, like caustic acid. We here in California should be held up as what happens when the liberals run the show for extended periods. Don't give me anything about our Governator, a Democrat in Republican attire. We are completely governed by liberals with only a handful of conservatives and what do we have to show? Staggering, massive, crushing debt. The whole country usually follows Californias lead and I am sorry to say that, once again.
The only bi-partisan action on this bill is the opposition to it. Our Government is in the process of selling our future to Democrat Party donors and supporters. In the name of stimulus the giveaway reads like a liberal fantasy and economic hayseed wishlist. The Divided State of America
George W. Bush came into office and pledged to be a uniter, not a divider. And after all the years of conciliatory action where he seemed to be more in line with the Democrats he gets the derogatory snipe in Obamas inaugural speech.
I am a supporter of Bush in that he kept the country safe when all conventional wisdom assured US there would be more attacks. I know that the terrorists couldn't completely destroy US but they could have done a lot of real harm, economically and psychologically. We were spared that damage, and who knows what economic damage would be greater, that that we feared or this that we are living? There is no quantifying lives lost and those who have been saved without ever even knowing they were in real danger. Life goes on and the President upheld his oath to protect the people of America. On that I commend him. However, conservative principles were abandoned and for that the whole country will suffer.
Our border was not secured and we have been overrun from the south. Entry level positions have now been taken over by illegal aliens and our younger generation doesnt have a clue as to what it takes to survive in a tight job market. All the stories of millions of jobs lost never factor in the 12 to 20 illegal aliens in our midst. Are they still jobs that Americans won't do? Nobody in the media wants to tell that story, not even the conservative talkers go there. When we were booming the rich were getting richer on the backs of the illegal aliens, or just saving a little money by not paying a living wage to an American worker. And all wages were depressed that were in direct competition with these third world laborers. It was a tough choice for a lot of employers, and they did what they had to compete and survive.
I know the money changers were profiteering all along and while the conservatives called out Barney Frank and Chris Dodd on Fanny and Freddy and the sub prime cataclysm, they didnt sound the alarm to the American people that there was a real danger to our economy, either. And trying to reach across the aisle Republicans became Democrats in spending and never even defended themselves when they were castigated for trying to slow the spending by cutting programs, or just cutting growth in programs. So here we are and the conservatives have nothing to show the American people for their 10 years in control of things. And the liberals have a population that will let them try just about anything to get US back on track. The pendulum is swinging wildly right now.
Barack Obama comes into office and his speech gets lauded as eloquent and strong and reaching out to the world, when in actuality he is saying a lot of the same things Bush has said. He is just packaged just right for the politically correct mainstream media to agree with him no matter what he says or does. If only Bush had such goodwill from the press we might have never become so divided.
I wish Obama to succeed in his Presidency as far as getting our country working as a whole and our safety as a priority. Those are the edicts for the federal Government. I want Obama stopped on his pro abortion agenda, and I fear his economic stimulus is out to benefit those who he picks to succeed, not an equal playing field for all. Just today I heard Robert Reich say he doesnt want any government help to go toward white male construction workers. Excuse me, but who does that leave? The Mexican construction workers and the black construction workers? Well the construction industry has been almost completely saturated with the mexican workers, and the African american contingent is very small by percentage, even smaller than they are represented in the general population. I heard that singling out, along with the wealthy finance guys, and I shuddered to think of my head out on that chopping block, a sacrifice to political correctness.
Obamas stand on the FOCA and the tax payers payment for foreign abortions just leaves me cold and wanting. Our country will certainly face more harsh judgement if we continue down this path. The greed and excess of the financial rise and fall, how we deal with real enemies who want to see US dead, not giving in to manmade farces like global warming, these are the issues where the rubber will meet the road for Barack Obama and our country. How we treat the very most vulnerable among US like a baby in a womb, those in need of a job food and shelter. How we address the health care and insurance conundrum, these issues will define US in the beginning of the next decade. Partisan hackery has to stop and we must move toward the light.
It seems as if President Bush and President Obama are flip sides of the same coin. The Bush haters have projected all their love and respect for their President upon Obama, reversing their poisonous hate of one man into idolatry and worship of another. Those who will not give Obama a chance are forgetting that President Bush ran as a conservative and once elected spent away a fortune of taxpayer and political capital. Nobodys perfect and God's will will be done.
I am praying for a miracle.

Hopefully We Remain True
The US is standing with Israel now and I hope and pray we remain so. God said he will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse her. I believe there is ample evidence to that fact as we review the history of the world. It is unimaginable that all the media reports slant everything to the Palistinian 'victim' when the very real victims are the said Palistinians, but their being used as human shields. But the reporting does not go into the depths to clarify that, and all we are led to believe is that Israel's response is "un"proportional. Ha! If missiles were sailing over our border or coming from Cuba, say, would we react with similarily poorly targeted strikes or would we eliminate the threat in as little time as it takes to say goodbye? We know that answer. Even President elect Obama, the most sensitive and caring man ever elected to high office in this country, would not stand for that here. Will he step in and honour his middle name? Will he go against his Christian beliefs? Will he let down all the pacifists who expect extreme concessions? I am wondering, hoping and praying he does the right thing. The right thing in my mind is standing strong with our only true ally and the original true democracy in that region. We shall see, it is these types of issues where we will see if Obama is a true Christian or really is the muslim sympathizer/manchurian candidate the conspiracy theorists on the right hyperventilated about. The proof will be evident and irrefutable as Obama can no longer vote present.
We cannot be isolationist on this most critical issue where we stand up and honour God almighty, or bow down to trying to please the world. The FOCA is another moral crossroad I am afraid Obama will stumble at. Yet as long as he claims Christianity as his moral compass I believe God can open his eyes and convict his spirit. It is scary that all the stars are aligning for the fulfillment of the biblical prophesy of an anti christ to take hold of power, and here we have the man of mystery who can step right in, or he can be a great man of God and a great leader for the good of all. Interesting times we live in.
We watch...
We wait...
We pray
God bless our great country, and God help US

2008
I feel conflicted about the year 2008, it came in and I thought I was doing fine, just with lifes normal difficulties. Little by little my world crumbled around me, like so many other people, but in the end I am still standing and looking for better things in 2009. In a year as tumultuous as any in my recent memory there was a lot of good mixed in with the bad. I would not change anything about the year for fear of undoing my blessings. I lost a marriage and gained love. I worked hard and saw my business go backwards, but now I know how to operate in a more streamlined fashion. I have given back some of my gains but I am smarter than I was before, and that will pay dividends in the future. I never lost any perspective and I feel more motivated than ever before to come back better and stronger and wiser than I was even aware I could become.
My sports teams failed me in 2008, but my mood does not hinge any longer on the outcome of any game. My political party lost more elections but I believe my conservative ideals were winners because they were taken up by both sides. I think our whole country is better off because we have stood our ground in the fight against the terrorists. I hope we have learned as a country we need to begin to live within our means. Sometimes growth can be painful and I think we can show the other side politically how to lose with class. I think in the end our country can stay united in our effort to bring peace and innovation into the world, if we have that one goal. If we never forget that we believe God is leading US forward.

The Puppeteers and their Cast
I hate getting played, manipulated and led around by people who are self serving under the guise of 'reporting'. The Democrat Party won the elections of 2006 fair and square. The Republicans, and conservatives affiliated with the Republican Party were tossed from offices they had held for 12 years in majority. The country had good growth and some setbacks along the way but overall our trajectory was steadily upward. The Republicans somehow got lost and seperated from their principles that got them elected, and people stopped being enthusiastic about voting for lessers of the two evils, and 2006 happened and we got "change". Since 2006 we have seen our economy deteriorate rapidly and while we expect our elected representatives to legislate and govern all we have had is an effort to complete the undermining of President Bush. The war in Iraq was a hot button disagreement with Bush that was nuetralized when the surge succeeded and Iraq stabilized. Something had to be done to tarnish Bush and complete the Democrat victory. The economy was an easy target, simply because it was a house of cards waiting to be shaken. A Democrat victory could be guaranteed if the economy were to falter, and the newsmedia was unquestionably favoring Obama over McCain. So the stories about doom and gloom in the economy have been front and center for all to see and share in the pain and anxiety. I do not understand how the Democrat congress and Senate get a pass on the last 2 years. They have been in charge and Bush has been a lame duck. They set the agenda and could have made policy that would guide US through the impending down cycle that started in 2007 and continued right through the election year. Obama always says they (meaning the US government)were irresponsibly de-regulating financial and housing and energy policies that started the downward spiral we are still caught in. As if he had no ability to stand up and make the problems known or addressed. As if only Bush was privvy to control the direction we were heading. I guess running for President absolved him of all responsibility to exercize his leadership ability which we are now supposed to have faith in as our one great hope. I get the feeling this whole "crisis" has been exacerbated to bring about the change, and now all we can do is hope that when Obama steps into the oval office January 20 2009 that the media will start to try and become positve and optimistic, and that they have as much power to control the mood of the country for good as they do for evil.

We Need to Believe
As the new ruler ascends to the throne we are encouraged to offer our support and trust. We must remain unified as a nation to build up our moral highground so our concessions to the world keep US above water. I have no doubt that President elect Obama plans on trading away some of our might for something he perceives as global unity. My fear is that he is either unaware or does not care that there are many in the world who do not wish US well no matter what we do. Obama thinks he is more persuasive than any enemy can resist. More reassuring than any dissentor's best arguments, and above all untidy political distractions. I want to believe Obama, I want to believe in the liberal way. It would be great if nobody was a crook, it would be nice if we all treated everybody with respect and kindness, just as we want to be treated ourselves. Then liberalism would work. But look at what is coming to our country, now its the Democrats turn to prove that politicians are all liars and swindlers and power mad. I am convinced that the power we cede to our political leaders corrupts them all equally and with no regard to party affiliation or their original idealism.
I want to believe that Barack Obama is above the muck and mire, I wanted to believe that George Bush was above all that, too. Its so easy to go negative when the politician immediately denies all contacts and associations, even as they are so readily available for all to witness . Its so hard to remain loyal to the hope that they are bigger than the ordinary, fallible, human being we annoint them to rise above. There are some natural human reactions we want our leaders to present, and some we want them to cloak, and others we want them to deny. That is why we depend on the press to do a thorough job of making it clear who the candidate really is. When the media has its own horse in the race we are lucky to get a clear picture. Unfortunately this time we did not get even close to knowing who Barack Obama really is. We will find out, and I for one am praying that if he is being deceptive, its the weak, faint-hearted liberals and news media world citizens who were deceived. They are the ones who will destroy our country as we know it, yet they are continually given a pass on bad judgement and mistakes, both accidental and purposeful.

Black Friday
With the world Economy in fits and supposedly the capitalist system teetering on the edge of insolvency I find stories about the Day After Thaksgiving very interesting and informative. In this time of financial armegeddon we find people waiting in line all night for what? A loaf of bread? No!! They are waiting for laptops and Guitar Hero 3 to go on sale. Now forgive me if I somehow got some wires crossed but I feel a real pinch to get by right now. So the last thing I would ever think about is to go out and stand in a line just to get some frivolous electronic, time wasting video game. I was thinking that this malaise our country finds itself mired in could be a good thing to strip away our materialistic tendencies, and get back to the basics, like the true meaning of Christmas, families, and sober thinking. The media on one hand paints a picture of dire consequences and then on the other frets or bemoans the demonstration of real financial restraints. I know retailers have based their whole years success on how they do on this one weekend and the subsequent weeks until Christmas, but isnt that all the evidence we need to see that we have lost sight of the true meaning and gravity of what Christmas is really all about? All of the lessons we have set ourselves up to learn collectively and individually are not going to be easy. They will be even more difficult if we never get to the core of the problem and swallow the bitter pill.
I suppose retailers will be next in line to get bailed out, when we find we start trying to 'fix' everything we chase the problems round and round and get sucked into the whirlpool. Sooner or later, even if we do all we can to manage this crisis, the piper is still out there waiting to be paid. Maybe he is the last one who will need a bailout.

World NewsWatch November 21, 2008
Trends we will likely see as Barack Obama takes over the Rulership of America, Militarily we will be weakened Democrats have said they would like to cut the military budget by 25%. The world will like US more when we are nuetralized. Since that is a major focus of where B.O. would like to take US, well...
At least we will have the Civilian Defense Corps, or whatever Barack will call his brownshirts.
Obama ran on change and purposefully left it vague. Conservatives and republicans were rightfully concerned and we said change, from what? to what? Now we know , we are changing back to the Clinton administration. Hallelujah you may say? the 90's were roaring? Well in the 90's the liberal tendencies of Clinton were held in check by the Republican house and Senate gains of '94. We won't get those checks and balances this time unfortunately and there is no technological boom coming to save the day. We will be stuck with Obamas policies and the Liberal Democrat way of managing our economy, trouble ahead. But hey I am willing to give socialism a try, I think we are halfway there anyway and it seems we have all the dog eat dog characteristics of capitalism and the socialism we sprinkle on top helps the upper crust and the poor. There is nothing out there for the monkey in the middle. Everybody says that socialism will bring on laziness and other negative consequences, but I would love to have a Government job and I already have a work ethic that my conscience wont let me abandon. Even Government health care is better than none. Maybe there can be some reform of insurance and social security under the umbrella of socialism. I only fear if we did go down that road only the political class would have a better life, and maybe the dirt poor who do not and would not work anyway. All I would like is a little security, but maybe we are not supposed to have it as easy as we would like. Oh my goodness I am starting to sound like a liberal. Next.
Somebody has to do it. It's good to know that the U.N. gave India the go-ahead. I wonder what they will allow the Obama administration to go do?
Heres a little insignificant side bar but I can't resist. When I was about 10 years old I knew all the rules and kept up to date on them throughout my interest in the NFL. Which has waned as the players change teams, get so rich they become out of touch, and really ~you realize~ maybe they are not all that smart.

Interpretations
I had a dream last night that I met Barack Obama. He was a very nice guy and we even had a few words together. At first he thought I was a groupie Obamanaic, I think, because I extended my hand to him and he signed it. I was about to tell him I was a Republican when I corrected myself and said 'I am an independent and I didn't vote for you.' I cant recall if he even said anything there but I then told him I was praying for him. He looked taken aback a little and told me thank you. Then he said he got chills from that moment and I did too, it was very interesting. Then he went on his way, it was some outdoor harvest Halloween event. I was doing my thing there, too, and a little later I saw him again and asked him for his autograph for my daughter, I figured since he was in a signing mood... He obliged and went to this rack of drying paintings of halloween scenes and took the one he painted and wrote to John T. and signed it. I thought that was so cool, but the paint was still drying so I had to hold it carefully and couldn't roll it up. Well as I was looking for my daughter a young man, couldn't have been much more than 18 was with a few friends and he wanted to take the painting from me. He didn't know that it had the future Presidents signature on it but I thought he was being ridiculous anyway and I told him so. He persisted and started getting physical so I told him I would fight him for it but I wouldn't give it to him. It was for my daughter. He obliged and so I found a safe place to put down the painting and we squared off. Right then I woke up, right before my alarm would have gone off anyway. I was looking forward to how that scene would have turned out. In my dreams I am kind of a tough guy in those situations, he would have been in a lot of trouble. Oh well, I wanted to write it all down because it was vivid, interesting, and unlike any of my usual dreams. Plus I woke right up and remembered it well.
What would Freud think?
