Yes We Can, No We Can't, ....hmmm, Maybe?

This Country is in trouble and nobody seems equipped to do anything about it. We are so upside down it is scary. We elected a newbie Pol. to lead US in toubling times, we have the very skimmers and scammers that set up our financial mess in charge of 'fixing' it and inconsequential things like sports and celebrities seem to be at the top of most peoples interest. I know it is nice to take a break from real world stuff like North Korea developing rocket science, Pakistan in constant chaos the daily gyrations of the world economy etc. Maybe we ought to have an Earth week where everybody takes a vacation and turns off their electricity for a week and all the world problems will magically be solved.

Our world is in the balance and the return to normalcy may not be as easy as some would think. I am not sure many in the world care if we elected our messiah or that they just sense we are now weaker. As long as our militay is the worlds enforcer we cannot appropriate that money like the Europeans into more social utopian progress. Wouldn't it be great if we could? Alas that is one part of the budget Barack feels very comfortable cutting.

April Fools:

Barack Obama is going over to the G20 summit to lecture them about economics. Wow, I know this guy is 'brilliant', but really... Do you think Barack will tell them how to bury themselves under a mountain of debt they will never get out from under? Or lecture them on their demographics and how they can import workers from third world countries to take care of their dwindling aged populations. I guess we do have to tear this down before we can rebuild it (the world economy to pave the way for the new world order).
Why are the protesters out there fussing and moaning when their guy is going to order the whole world his (their) way? Now Barack has given the Queen an I pod? Oh boy!?! I wonder just how long we can suffer this renewed and improved world image we have bought. It's scary stuff when we are going to work deals with former KGB to disarm ourselves and how can we trust them to reciprocate? Ugh, we are barely into the Obama regime and the backpedaling and ground we will give up is astonishing. I fear for my childrens future, this course we are on is unsustainable and they are the ones who will have to pay. I know Obamas kids will be set up and not even have to think about how they will function in the brave new world their father is creating for US all.

I, me-me, Mine

Obama, at least in his narcissistic early stages here, is going to position himself as the catalyst and moving force behind all his grandiose schemes so when, not if, it fails we can vote him out in 3 3/4 years hence. I imagine he will begin to install some fall guys and scapegoats when it becomes obvious he is overreaching. Look for that before the year is out.

This Economy

I am really getting tired of advertisers and TVnews usage of their newest little catchphrase "This Economy". The way they use it for selling everything from the useless to the necessary, and try to grab our attention by spinning off of it renders the reality of whats happening in our economy trite or all encompassing. Which it really is neither, exactly. To some the pain and anxiety is so real they are losing all hope and touch with reality, and to others they have their jobs and they still have money yet they are acting like the sky will fall any second.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself right now is ever so true. There is money out there, one mistake made by the Government that led to the great depression that has not been made here. Team Obama has the presses running day and night now. But failing to target exactly where the problem started and ramming through a socialist agenda at the same time will exacerbate this situation. If Obama could just focus on real stimulus and quickly get money out to real jobs there could be an impact. The government wheels are so slow though that by the time the money gets to the people the recession will be coming to a conclusion.

Had all the sub prime loans been immediately rewritten, even if they had to be turned into 40 year loans, the banks would not have to deal with so many foreclosures. And the homeowners who were not in those loans would have benefitted from stabilizing values in their own homes. And maybe a lot of 401k retirements wouldn't have gotten taken down the drain with everything else. I know its now time to only say 'woulda, coulda, shoulda ...din't', but still there are lessons to be learned here and some wealth can still be preserved and rebuilt. But people are scared of what Obama will do because no one, including Obama himself, has a clue. Lots of money is sitting on the sidelines trying to figure out how the rules will change, and anybody who still has any money is smart enough and patient enough to see that an agenda is being put in place and waiting makes the most seense right now because under the new Obama administration there is no bottom to this market, yet.

World NewsWatch March 16 2009AD

Conservatives in Hollywood lost one of their few small voices in the wilderness, when Ron Silver passed away. May he rest in peace.

The future will bring us new innovation which will help the economy grow. But when machines start doing the jobs people will do, could there be more job loss? It is strange how things work, I think this is a moment for our Country to re-position itself toward the future and I applaud President Obama on that, but, if he cedes the vision and implementation to Nacy Pelosi and Harry Reid we will surely end up weaker, poorer, and more dependent on our new behemoth Government, as individuals and as a whole. Our nation is a collection of individuals who make US whole. I do not want to be part of a collective that includes drug addicts, perverts, pacifists, criminals, those who will not assimilate, and those who won't try to better themselves at the expense of others. Barack Obama is overreaching and I am watching him to see if he really cares about all of America or just the Democrat constituency portion of it.

It is as I feared, Obama is a politician who can only run for office, once there he hands off responsibility and runs for something else. I guess soon enough he will be running for President of the World : (
Electing a narcissistic megalomaniac will begin the unravelling of our great nation. How can his donors afford to keep digging into their pocketbooks for him? Are they cheating on their taxes? I guess it's the same concept as how the casinos are still doing alright, this economy isn't quite as dire as we are led to believe at this time, but hold on, some growth killing tax increases are on the way.
Let California show US the way you take a great thing and utterly destroy it with liberal socialist ideas, taxes, unsustainable growth in Government programs, and no clear vision of the future and how to get from here to there.

This will make Ted Turner proud, one of his own has become somebody. Obama can send a welcome party down there to celebrate the victory, and Venezuela and Cuba have a new ally. We really need no proof as to where most journalists stand, but I would guess this guy is just left of center of most journalists out there today. Now after they kill their respective papers they can figure a job in politics.

Hmm..... this is interesting. Didn't The Campaign make a big deal about John McCain saying the same thing? And as far as I can see we are much worse off now than we were back in the peak campaign season of lies, smears, promises, and hope-change song and dance. The perfect storm was created, weathered, used, and will eventually be slain, to bring US our saviour, one Barack Hussein Obama.
Here is another of Obamas misrepresentations where he is leaning toward a McCain position, that fence sure is getting rickety to keep on straddling.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves and give some of the Fixes a chance to work, then maybe we can start scrapping the intrusions before they become permanent fixtures. Oops too late!

I guess since we are winning or have now won we must appear "nice" or concilliatory or soft or something. This kind of symbolism makes me ill. Call them what they are, tell it like it is, and just don't be ashamed to defend all that we hold dear.

The Ominous Spending Bill

Full of pig ears and pork marks, Obama does it again. This guy is slick. He campaigns one way and then oh so calmly lies to the American people, right to our faces. Well it would be to our faces but I get the feeling he is talking right past me, is he talking to my accountant?
The Democrats are spending our childrens future even as they are pushing to deny the future unborn a chance at life. How do we figure out this mess? Will we continue to import our growth to pay for this bold new world? Or will we fold up like the cheap suitcase that we are mortgaging ourselves into?

Call This Leadership?

A lot of people took a chance on Obama last fall thinking things probably could not get much worse in our economy. Voters in the polls had overwhelmingly said they trusted the Democrats more to fix the economy and get US back on track. Well, we are getting the change promised, only its from bad to worse. We are getting a long term agenda crammed down our throats and the Democrat/Leftists are enacting bold moves to gather power out of the private sector and into "their"Government. They went nuts ceding power to Bush and the Republicans, but are now quite content to grow the behemoth into the intrusive, overarching monolith, their magnum opus. They have their figure head, an empty suit as it turns out to be, they have their field generals stationed in almost all positions of power. They have the useful idiots who will support them whatever they do, all they lack is the general populations willingness to tear down the whole system and start over again. Obama calls the stock market a tracking poll in which he cannot concern himself with the daily gyrations, the bobbing up and down, the long term big fix is what he is after. Unfortunately for millions of Americans, their retirement is tied up in Obamas daily tracking polls, which by the way are trending downward at a steady, unrelenting pace. Now if part of his plan is to detach Americans from their wealth so they need him to fix everything then Obama is doing a most wonderful job.
People everywhere are beginning to ask when the Obama administration will begin to take ownership of this economy. I know the real answer is if, and only if, things begin to improve. He does not have that luxury now, though, to keep playing this blame game. He rode in on his white horse to save US. He swore he knew what he was doing, he swore he would uphold and protect the Constitution. But let US never forget, the First Horseman of the Apocolypse also rides in on a white horse.

If You Vote For Liberal Politicians:

It must be ok that your politician makes promises he cannot/will not keep

You can blame conservatives for running up deficits as you run up more

Democracy need not defend itself

You are happy the swing to the left will be pushed as quickly as possible to avoid the correction that will come in 2010, but that correction will make you sad.

Any sign of defeat for your country is viewed as a good thing

You fear truthtellers so you have to use legislative power to silence your critics. Obama will then use cogressional cohorts to stay above the foray and still advance his agenda.

You lose in the marketplace in the battle of ideas, the evidence is there for all to see.

It has been said you get the Government you deserve and I think we are seeing that in America right now. Our country is going through some growing pains and it will be interesting to see what comes out the other side. A country leaner and meaner(an expression, not mean spirited), or a big fat lazy behemoth of social programs that chokes the life and creativity out of the people one law, one legislative process at a time. We cannot tax and spend our way to prosperity, so why in the world are the Democrats taking US down this road we know is to nowhere?
